Red Sox

Vintage Red Sox t-shirt / Vintage skirt / Asos leather jacket (old) / Doc Martens shoes
Having a wardrobe crisis this morning, I grabbed Lewis’ Red Sox tee and paired it with my cheerleader/tennis skirt and I love the result. This is me dabbling in the sports fashion trend, which I love but it is perhaps not naturally my style. So, I added my trusty Docs and leather jacket to toughen up the outfit.
About two years ago I was doing a classic North American road trip with Lewis and as we were going to see the Red Sox we decided to hunt down some t-shirts in Boston’s thrift stores. For now, my navy one is residing back in Bristol but I’m definitely going to pick it up when next back!

So things have been a bit quiet this month on the blog because I’ve been on holiday for two weeks! I went to the South of France and wanted to share some of my lovely photos with you. I spent the first week relaxing in this amazing villa in a village north of Toulouse with the whole of my mum’s side of family and then Lewis came to join me and we went on a little road trip.
Passing through Carcassonne and a beach on the way, we spent our first night in Montpellier, which is an absolutely lovely city. Very quiet at this time of year because it is normally a student city. We ate at a great pizzeria called Le Valentino, which I would definitely recommend.
Then we headed to our main destination, a village in Provence called Cadenet to a quiet house with a terrace overlooking the town and countryside, which I had found on Airbnb (my favourite website!). From there we did day trips to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and the Gorges du Verdon, which was the highlight. We rented kayaks on the Lac de Sainte-Croix and paddled through the Gorges, which was incredible. We spent our last night in Marseille, which is gritty but beautiful.
Hope you have all had a good summer! I’m looking forward to Autumn/Winter fashion now though!

Summer Monochrome

All items vintage and from Kilo Shop
I’ve just got back from a two week holiday in the South of France, which was beautifully relaxing and filled with lots of wine and cheese (my favourites). I love this monochrome summer evening look – featuring my new jellies, which I just can’t stop wearing! This is the outfit I wore for a lovely dinner to celebrate my grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary, which is great because the skirt is perfect for hiding all the food I ate!

A Slip Dress for Summer

Motel Rocks dress (c/o) / Converse trainers / Topshop tattoo choker / Ray Ban sunglasses
Those of you who follow me on Instagram will recognise this dress from my Glastonbury festival photos where I was Motel’s Festival Reporter. I chose this lovely turquoise gingham slip dress from Motel’s fab summer collection to wear to the festival. And here it is in all its glory on a little outing to Versailles on one of the hottest days of the year. Slip dresses are perfect for summer thanks to their light material and loose fit and this one is no exception. Plus I love gingham so it’s just win win really.

Transparent shirt

Vintage Levis Shorts / Vintage bralet / Vintage shirt / Doc Marten boots
I’ve been rocking this outfit a lot recently in the hot Parisian sun.* I love this transparent shirt because I can wear little underneath but not feel too naked at the same time, which is great as Parisians still wear black jeans and jackets in 25 degree heat!
These photos were taken by my friend Gina whilst she was here for an extended visit! Look out for her making a guest appearance on the blog soon!

*I wrote this post a couple of weeks ago and scheduled it to be posted whilst I was Glastonbury and it didn’t happen. It is now cold and rainy in Paris 🙁
