So as you can see – it has been a Christmas filled with lovely presents, lots of cracking food and the most beautiful people. It all goes too fast though doesn’t it? Already I am heading back to Barcelona later today and even though I know I’ll be fine once I’m back there, being in Bristol does make me want to just stay in Bristol.
Anyway, onwards and upwards! The new year is coming with lots of exciting possibilities and decisions to be made! But before all of that, look out for my final post of the year – blogging outtakes – in a couple of days time.

Voila! Here is the final outfit post of 2015 and I think it is a cracker. I have to admit that normally I actively dislike V-necks. I think this is because there is too much of a gap between the neckline and the chin but recently I have been coming round to them. I think the key is to break up this so called “gap” that I’m going on about, with a statement choker and/or balance out the outfit with a hat. And here I chose my new beret, ooh la la.
I am absolutely chuffed with this velvet V-neck that I picked up at KILO SHOP KAWAII when I had a WEEKEND BREAK IN PARIS a couple of weeks ago. Adding a bit of velvet and gold to an outfit instantly makes it feel a bit more festive, even if the look if predominantly black, so this has recently become my go-to outfit. What do you think?
Right that’s me done for the Christmas break! I’m heading home to Bristol on Christmas Eve evening for just four days so I will be super busy catching up with friends and family but make sure you keep up on INSTAGRAM. I’ll be back early next week with a general Christmas round-up of fave presents etc and I’ll be finishing off the year with a blogging outtakes post so watch out for that! Merrrryyy Chriissssstmassss!!!
All the love, Izzie x

The Ultimate Travel Outfit

The ultimate travel outfit: how to travel in comfort and style
Stretchy corduroy trousers – BETABRAND, Jumper – ASOS, Watch – DANIEL WELLINGTON, Trench coat – URBAN OUTFITTERS, Hat – TOPSHOP, Necklace – ASOS, Bag – ASOS, Boots – ASOS

As a fashion and travel blogger, it is important for me to look good while on the move but I also cannot stand travelling when I’m uncomfortable. So when BETABRAND got in touch asking me to create the ultimate travel outfit I thought it was a great way of bringing my two main interests together.

BETABRAND prides themselves on making comfortable, practical yet stylish clothes that you can wear from work to travelling and even at the yoga studio! I’ve chosen their bang on trend black corduroy stretch skinny jeans (be sure to check out their entire collection of WOMEN’S PANTS!), which I would pair with this ASOS red jumper to add the perfect pop of colour. With a simple base sorted, it is now all about the details. Over the top I would wear this loose and light URBAN OUTFITTERS trench coat, a TOPSHOP fedora hat to hide any bad travel/bed hair and these classic ASOS leather chelsea boots to bring the outfit together nicely. Don’t forgot to accessorise with an all important watch – so you don’t miss your flight! – a long gold necklace to break up that colour a bit and a statement bag to carry all your inflight essentials.

What do you think? What are your must-have travel pieces?

So exactly a week ago, I was swanning around the streets of Paris wearing sailor stripes and a massive smile on my face. We took these photos in one of my favourite areas – on Ile Saint Louis – and the next to the river setting rather suits this sailor/military vibe that I’m rocking here, dontcha think?

Of course I hinted at my Paris outfit choices in my HOW TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND CITY BREAK post last week but here it is in full glory, with a lovely Parisian backdrop. When in Paris, wear stripes. This is not just a French cliché but a seriously popular print here. I paired my lovely polo neck with a classic denim skirt and my military style Burberry trench and cap.

What do you think? Have you seen the rest of my photos from my WEEKEND BREAK IN PARIS?

Bisous, Izzie

A Weekend Break In Paris

Bonjour! So as you’ll know if you have read some of last week’s posts, including my HOW TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND CITY BREAK, or follow my on INSTAGRAM, is that I was in my beloved city of PARIS at the weekend.
Lewis and I booked a last minute ‘fuck it let’s just do it’ trip to Paris just a few weeks ago so we could catch up with some friends and get into the festive mood ready for Christmas. And we had a blast. Can I please go back and live there already? It’s soooo pretty and everyone I know there is just awesome. Anyway, whilst we all ponder over that question, here is a little photo diary from the short but very sweet weekend.

What do to for a weekend in Paris Chez Hanna falafel
So Saturday consisted of A LOT of eating. And drinking. After a 6am flight (urghh) we headed straight to our favourite boulangerie on boulevard Beaumarchais to start the trip the way Parisians do – with lots of pastries. This was followed the best – and one of the cheapest – lunches in Paris, falafel from CHEZ HANNA, which features on my tips to BEST EATS IN LE MARAIS, PARIS post.

After eating falafel in a nearby park, we (read: Stuart) were pretty cold so we decided to find somewhere for a hot chocolate. We headed for this cute cafe in Le Marais called Le Voltigeur that I used to walk past everyday on my way to work. I had only ever had wine there so boy were we pleasantly surprised when they brought out this DIY hot chocolate spread. It was delicious

We spent the afternoon wandering around Le Marais and then headed to a little event at LE POP-UP DE LABEL where the wine drinking commenced. We carried on the night at La Cerise Sur La Pizza – an awesome pizza place with a great friendly atmosphere.

Sunday started with a good old brunch chez Hannah (my mate’s where I was staying) and then we headed out for a stroll along the river and around Ile Saint Louis. We also took some pretty awesome outfit photos here so look out for that post coming later on this week.

After more strolling by the river and Christmas shopping in Le Marais (where I only actually managed to buy things for myself, fail) we went across to rive gauche to have a crepe at Chez Suzette Creperie in the Latin Quarter. I had a lovely three cheese one accompanied, as is tradition, by a bol de cidre. Just yum.

As night fell, we followed the river up past the beautifully lit Louvre and through the Tuileries gardens where we eventually had to say goodbye to our wonderful friends who we had spent the weekend with. But I just wanted to stay. What a bladdy good weekend.
Remember, Paris is always a good idea.
