Bonjour my lovelies! I know, I know – this post is called September favourites and it’s already 5th October. I was a bit delayed doing this post because I have just been in Paris for 5 days for Fashion Week so things have been a bit hectic.
Talking of Paris Fashion Week, “Fashion Month” as I like to call it, is first up on my September favourites. New York, London, Milan and Paris – it has been an absolute treat to see some amazing street style images, read bloggers’ reviews and find inspiration for the coming seasons. And that’s why Fashion Month is one of my favourite times of year. I’ve got loads of posts coming during the next two weeks from PFW – including my three outfits, the best of street style and my favourite catwalk collections – so stay tuned!

So I’m going to delve a bit deeper than usual to explain this September favourite. Over the past few months I have been suffering from lots of anxiety and stress, which is one of the reasons that I left my vintage shop job in Paris. During this time, my mum sent me an adult colouring book, which is supposed to relief stress and honestly it is a joy to do. I have always imagined that painting or drawing would be really relaxing but I can’t draw for shit, so colouring in already drawn cats (yes it’s an exclusively cat colouring book – the obsession just grows and grows), is perfect. Have any of you tried this and what did you think?
I am currently obsessed with &OTHER STORIES jewellery! It is beautiful and the prices are decent so when I realised that there was one just a few blocks from my Barcelona apartment, I treated myself to these lovely gold hoops and spike ring. Just the start of my collection from &OTHER STORIES but I am sure it will grow and grow!
And lastly, but probably most importantly, I could not have September favourites without my new beginning in Barcelona. I am really enjoying the chilled way of life here, working on my blog and spending time with Lewis. Soon I will have to get a job but for now I am just treasuring these few weeks and I cannot wait to share it all with you!
So as you may or may not know, I recently moved from Paris to Barcelona for a change of scenery and to mix things up. Starting out in a new city is always difficult so it’s nice to have a great base from which to set yourself up from. Cue Airbnb scouring of flats until we found these gorgeous two rooms in a flat share with a lovely German girl.
I always love flat/bedroom/office space tour posts so I thought I’d share with you where we’re going to be living for the next month. Of course I cannot take credit for much of the interior design here but I hope it’s great inspiration for you!
My favourite feature of this flat is the mixture of chairs around the beaten up wooden table. I am instantly drawn to cafes that are decorated with completely un-matching furniture so this is definitely something I would plan to do in my home. I love the use of old materials such old vegetable crates turned on their side for bookshelves – such a simple and cheap way of decorating your home but it looks so awesome! Of course I had to christen the dining table/office space with a mini-cactus and I am planning to get some good-sized one when we get our own place. Finally, can we just talk about the floor? How amazing are the colourful and rustic tiles that features throughout? Just love it.
So there you go – just a little tour of where we are living right now. I cannot wait to get my own place, put my mark on it and show it off to you lot!
Coucou!
Hello my lovely readers. So, I moved to Barcelona. That’s the big news. Early on Sunday morning, I boarded a train armed with all my belongings and waved goodbye to my beloved adopted city of Paris. Six hours later, I arrived in Barcelona for a new adventure, a new life. ‘Why?’ you may ask – and this is a very good question. Apart from my hometown of Bristol, Paris is without doubt my absolute favourite place on this precious earth and contains some of the most amazing people that I am blessed to have in my life. I had a secure job in vintage fashion, which should have been a dream, but it actually was not, due to reasons out of my control (management etc) and at some point you just have to call it quits.
The world is a big place, I love travelling and exploring so, even though I loved feeling settled in Paris, it makes sense that I would make moving around a part of my life. I was in Paris, now I’m in Barcelona, I would love to live in Berlin someday and in a few months I may have a visa for Canada. It’s exciting and I’m lucky enough to have someone who is just as passionate – if not more so – about doing this. So finally, after years of complaining about not having time for you, dear blog, I find myself in a new city full of possibilities and in self-imposed unemployment. It’s extremely daunting and I am scared of failing – my excuse for the lack of blog posts previously being a full time job etc but now I am free. I hope you will enjoy discovering this city as much as I will love bringing it to you. Oh and never fear, I’m back to Paris for Fashion Week at the end of the month so if you’re going to miss those unmistakably Parisian backdrops or guide to top places to hang out, never fear, you will have your fix soon. And so will I.
A couple of weeks ago, Lewis and I made the long drive from Paris over to a little village in Brittany called Saint Suliac for a few days to celebrate my old man’s 60th birthday. The weather was a bit touch-and-go (being close so England and all, you know how dodgy summer weather can be!) but we had an amazing relaxing few days. We managed a couple of days on the beach, which is once of my favourite things – so liberating! We had a brief trip to the famous Le Mont Saint Michel and I say brief because it was so touristy that it just seemed like we were queuing to walk anywhere so we scarpered pretty fast! Lots of crêpes were eaten and loads of cider drunk – sounds pretty perfect huh?!
Hope you enjoy the snaps. The content on the blog is going to be rather travel-related for now because I am without photographer for outfit posts. Plus…big news alert…I’m moving to Barcelona in a few weeks so I moved lots of my stuff back to England last week and I have just two suitcases of clothes. Not enough for a fashion blogger, not enough. x
Bisous.
I have always loved black and white film photography and back in 2014, I was slowly making my way through a 36 photo black and white film. I find that some of the most beautiful photographs are taken when the subject is unaware and although it can be quite daunting to just take your camera and go photographing strangers, I gave it a go. I also took photographs of my friends in natural situations, for the memories, you know. So, without further ado, here are just some from the collection and I hope you enjoy them.
