Leopard and Monochrome

Motel Leopard faux fur coat (old – similar here) / Primark polo neck jumper / Monki jeans / ASOS leather gloves / Doc Martens boots
Faux fur is massive this season, the crazier the better, so I thought with the January chill it was time to bring out my gorgeous Motel leopard print fur. With such a statement print, you can dress it one of two ways and here I’ve gone for the monochrome/basics look, with my (now) trusty Monki jeans and super soft Primark cream jumper in my favourite high neck cut. The other look you can go for is just to throw loads of clashing prints together. This is more out of my comfort zone but I am going to give it a try for you guys soon!

In a park above paris

Vintage green coat / Vintage velvet top / Monki jeans / Doc Martens boots / eBay scrunchie / NARS lipstick
Location: La Coulé Verte, 12th arrondissement, Paris

Oh look, the green coat is back…hopefully not for long though as I’m looking to buy a classic black coat with my birthday money as mint green just doesn’t cut it in the midst of wintery January. Anyway, I’m going off topic as the real star of this outfit is the top/dress. I mean what more could you want from an item of clothing – turtle neck, check; silver velvet, check; interesting split up the front; check. And to top it off, it was just 1€. Perfect.

I have paired it the only way possible without leaving little to the imagination, with my new black Monki jeans that were a Christmas present from Lewis. They are super comfy being high waisted and tight but stretchy. I had been on the hunt for a new pair of jeans so I am so glad he took the hint when I tried these on just before Christmas.

Sparkles and Faux Fur

Vintage jacket / Monki jeans / Missguided crop top (old) / Vintage faux fur stole (similar here) / Vintage faux fur clutch (similar here) / Doc Martens shoes / Topshop socks / Mac Diva lipstick
Location: 3rd arrondissement, Paris

Let’s kick off this new year of blogging with a classic but loveable outfit post. I feel like I have been waiting until the new year for it to be acceptable to spend money on myself, so I felt really spoilt on New Year’s Eve in this outfit.
I was absolutely chuffed to find (by chance, may I add) these matching burgundy faux fur clutch and stole. Normally, I am not a clutch girl, mainly being scared of just leaving my bag somewhere if it’s not attached to my body (and perhaps because I’m paranoid of the ‘grab-out-of-my-arms-and-run’ kind of pickpocket in Paris); but I just could not resist. The stole is super soft, unlike a lot of vintage faux fur and it looks great against this sparkly victorian tapestry style jacket (I know what I mean…).
So I have lots of new ideas for my blog this year, including more reviews of exhibitions/bars/restaurants in Paris, and of course blogging more regularly. If you guys have any ideas for posts or anything you would like me to start writing about please let me know in a comment below!

The Best of 2014

Here are some of my favourite outfits from 2014 and what a year it has been! I have loved making the most of beautiful Paris for backdrops of photos and I was given a lovely new camera lens for Christmas so I’m hoping to be improving even more the photos on the blog. I have had a great time with my blog this year, collaborating with some great brands, especially reporting from Paris Fashion Weeks and Glastonbury Festival for Motel Rocks. I am looking forward to what 2015 might hold! Happy New Year!

Masculine Vibes

Vintage trousers (similar here) / Vintage coat (similar here) / H&M striped jumper / Adidas Stan Smith trainers / Mac So Chaud lipstick
Location: backstreets of Montmartre, Paris
For ages I have been looking for a oversized yet flattering pair of tailored masculine trousers and I have finally found them! I love the dark grey colour, which makes them really easy to wear and they’re so comfortable! I paired them with a relaxed yet very Parisian striped cropped jumper and my go to mint green coat to give the outfit a bit of colour. My Stan Smiths are perfect for a casual winter stroll around the backstreet of Montmartre and the Sacre Cœur where these photos were shot.
Hope everyone is not struggling too much with the cold! I definitely need to invest in some new coats and boots…oh dear (!)…watch this space.
